Annoucing a major reorganization of the 75th

Today, 09 January 2010, the 75th underwent the most fundamental reorganization since its founding in 2003. In an effort to make the unit more compact and responsive, Regimental Command has inactivated Alpha, Bravo and HQ Companies, as well as 1st Battalion HQ, and consolidated all Rangers into the newly created Charlie Company. Taking a page from proud Ranger history, Charlie is taking the nickname "Marauders", and their Company motto is "Go for broke".

Captain R. Patterson volunteered to become Charlie Company's first Commander, giving up his three year tenure as Regimental Commanding Officer and the rank of Colonel. First Sergeant L. Dietzel has also resigned his position as 1st Battalion Sergeant Major to become Charlie's first Top.

First Lieutenants Hesler and Westerside are taking the lead at 1st and 2nd Platoons, respectively, and their former First Sergeants have come along to be Platoon Sergeants of the newly minted units. SFC Castro will be taking the Platoon Sergeant position in the new Combat Support Platoon and will be the Marauder's primary Duty NCO.

These changes are to effect a closer line of communication with the Squads, the all important field units of the 75th, and should tighten the chain of command and make the 75th Rangers a leaner, meaner fighting unit. Which is what we are.

Go for broke!
Rangers lead the Way!
